Soooo little has happened today, it’s awesome. I spent the whole day at home. Played on the computer, watched Frost/Nixon (which, by the way, is a great film. Kicked Slumdog Millionaire’s ass, in my opinion.), and have been trying to get my copy of TF2 working. In vain.

Christmas is in two days, which is cool.

FROM YESTERDAY: I read the news today (Oh boy) about a lucky man who made the grade and though the news was rather sad, well, I just had to laugh (I saw the photograph). He blew his mind out in a car. He didn’t notice that the lights had changed. A crowd of people stood and stared. They’d seen his face before. Nobody was really sure if he was from the House of Lords.

TODAY: Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, and looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat. Found my way upstairs and had a smoke. Somebody spoke and I went into a dream.

WOO! I got to 10 without entirely giving up!

More Rock Band today. Finished Story mode, finished a song on Expert on Bass with Lefty flip, unlocking an ‘Accomplishment’. Tried in vain to get the Secret of Monkey Island to work. Got a heap of Beatles songs, and organized them meticulously. Not much else. Slow day.

The Mercury is the worst news outlet ever. They put some kid going to a Pokemon TCG game on page 5. On the front page one day, they had a story about how a leech helped catch a criminal. They advertise discussions on a discussion-less website. They. Suck.

The Beatles: Rock Band is awesome. Awesome. The amount of effort that has gone into this game is truly incredible. It looks brilliant, (and if it looks great on the Wii, you know it’ll be good on the hi-def consoles) the songs are remastered, the gameplay is the usual, of course, but there’s not much that can be done about that. They’ve implemented an accomplishment system, which is fairly basic, but a few have really great names. Also, on every song you can earn to photos, one at three stars and one at five. Challenges have been brought in from I think Guitar Hero 5, and there are movies as well, the first one of which is the first Christmas record, of which only 25,000 copies were made. A really good game.

It’s been raining since 8:45, which was three hours and fifteen minutes ago. I might go down to Dad’s house again today… who knows.

Holidays, so I’m relaxing a lot. It’s my brothers last day at school, so I’m going to have to put up with him starting tomorrow.

Finished Spirit Tracks last night. That last boss battle was a bitch. Worth it though. I think there are multiple endings. Not sure. I’ll check Youtube.

I need to post more. I’m bookmarking this so I don’t forget.

And we’re moving forum again in a while. That ought to be good. Simple Machines is win, and I predict Doug getting pissed off with people using marquee for a few months.

Music collection is expanding. I just picked up UHF, by Weird Al, and am searching for a good copy of I Can’t Dance.

Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is awesome. The Sand Wand FTW. Star Wars: Battlefront II is my favorite shooter, perhaps followed by Left 4 Dead, which I’m quite good at akshually.

Christmas is coming soon. We’ve decorated the tree, but it’s dead, so we had to paint it gold and not have lights. :\

The Forum Is Closing!

Okay, that’s out of my system. The forum is closing, and we’re being redirected to MX. Thus, we’re all jumping ship to the backup, which is slightly confusing me. Why, I hear you ask? Well, I’ll tell you why. Jess has the postcount she had on the original forum. And so does Gen. Maybe Doug can tel us why?

Not much else to say. Went to Bali, came back, tanned slightly, bought cheap stuff. It was very similar to Thailand, except everyone was trying to sell me stuff.

My computer got a helluva mod while I was away. Modification, that is. It now plays Oblivion, and has an awesome case. I’m gonna get a picture of the whole setup soon.

Before I left, I played Smash Hits, which was pretty good. I can do YYZ on Hard. Yeyz.

That’s kind of it, really.

THING I’M ADDICTED TO AT THE MOMENT: Not really one this time. Maybe the fourth Phoenix Wright game (which doesn’t have Nick as the main character! WTF?!), but not much else.

It’s been another while since my last post. I haven’t been doing much, really. There’s an Urban Challenge thing, and I have to run around town, but my group are lazy as hell. Tomorrow, the last day, I’m not stopping for them.

Up to the third Phoenix Wright game, grabbed a couple more DS games; specifically Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Rhythm Heaven, Kirby Canvas Curse and the Professor Layton games. Rhythym Heaven is kind of average. The controls don’t always work for me. Kirby is awesome, Professor Layton is awesome, (though I have yet to play the second one), Advance Wars, although I haven’t played it much, is looking great.

I’ve watched all three Matrix movies in Blu-Ray, and have got a Slash figurine next to my computer. And I’m going to try and get some stickers on the monitor. I have a pretty cool setup, with plenty of space. And I need to do a bit of a clean-up.

I don’t think I posted this, but my computer blew up, and I have brought it back from the brink. Hoorah! It also gave me a chance to fix my music playlist up. Which is woot, as I’ve been meaning to do it for ages.

I also have a drum kit set up behind me. And I can play two songs on it! That’s Foreplay/Long Time, and Bodhisattva. Both of which are awesome.

That kind of wraps it up, I guess. Later.

Man, very little has been happening lately. I don’t have much to say. I’m just posting for the purpose of keeping this blog alive. Or, semi-alive. Or as close as I can get…..

I’ve been searching for a copy of a Pokemon Platinum ROM that lets me cheat, but to no avail. I’m gonna find out how to make my own. I also grabbed Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and it’s sequel. Loving it. Awesome game. I recommend it, and Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Which is in the same vein of game. Point and click with confrontations. Awesome.

My copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour is screwing up big time, and that doesn’t make me happy. I still have Metallica, III, Aerosmith and Rock Band, but I’m missing out on a couple of great songs. I might have a look to see if I can fix it….

High-Definition is awesome. I’ve seen a couple of brief scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean, Nightmare Before Christmas (My favorite Christmas movie, and those are big in this household.) and Star Trek II (KHAAAAAAAAAAN!). Very, very awesome.

I’m doing a Star Wars marathon for my birthday, which is in October.

Again, not much is happening. I am in the middle of a four day weekend, which makes me happy no end. I had Creative Writing on Tuesday and Thursday, and it was awesome.

Uh…. three forum members have started RPing, or are at least dabbling in the art, so to speak. Gen, Bean(RoxUrSox), and Jess. Which is cool. I’ve been keeping track, replying when I can.

I’ve picked up a couple of new songs here and there.

Okay, having nothing to talk about, I will talk about Harry Potter, because everyone seems to be hyping over that.

First things first, it’s overrated. Dont’ get me wrong, it’s a good series. Well written, thoroughly enjoyable (5th one is my favorite), but it is not the best series ever written, by any account. It resurrected reading for teens and children, but it is not that good. Also, the movies are bad. Except for Snape. Alan Rickman is awesome.

Oh, and Umbridge. Umbridge is one of my favorite characters, for the simple reason that she is the best in terms of what she’s supposed to achieve. J.K. wants you to hate her, and she is so easily hateable that she’s brilliant. The movie did this well, too.

Uh…. oh yeah, here’s this thing.

THING I’M ADDICTED TO AT THE MOMENT (Have you noticed the title has changed a couple of times? I can never remember what exactly it is.): MSN, and Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I’m having some great conversations, especially with Carino. Also, Phantom Hourglass is a brilliant DS game that I am enjoying very much.
